One thing that many people do not know about most auto transport companies that you see advertising is that very few of them actually own any trucks at all. In most cases you will find that the number you call are only coordinating companies or brokers. The actual trucks are owed by independent carriers or smaller companies. This means that you are likely to receive a range of price quotes when you call several brokers.

Oddly enough the range of prices you are being quoted may be for the same carrier. Beware however, if of those prices at the bottom of the range as they can leave you without your car for a long period of time. Think of it this way, if your price is the lowest in a series of cars to be transported, who do you think is going to be left until last in the order of shipping.
