Auto Carriers

Auto Carriers - Is My Car Insured When it is Transported?

One of the biggest questions that come up when using auto carriers is whether or not your car is insured when it is on the back of one of our auto carriers. The answer is simple, your auto is insured fully for the entire time that it is on a carrier. There are some things that are not covered but you will find these on your shipping order and bill of lading. When you deliver the car to the carrier a condition report is done, then when you pick it up you will again need to compare the car to the report to ensure that there is no damage done.

If there is any damage you must note it on the report at this time, these reports are signed by you and if the damage is not reported at this time the driver is no longer liable for the damages and your claims will not be honored. This makes it important to ensure that you inspect your vehicle thoroughly before you sign anything when you go to pick it up.
